There are many organizations and websites providing very useful information for planning your cruise so it is a very enjoyable, predicable, and safe cruise.

Many of the websites listed in this Resources section are websites our members use frequently, and some are lesser known sites that provide great information not found in the others.  Below are a couple of examples of those sites.  If you have some sites that would be useful to the CCC and/or our website viewers, send it to us.

Swell Info

Off shore cruisers often review off shore wind predictions from sites such as BouyWeather.  That information is very useful, but the information is  typically for conditions miles from the coastline.  Reviewing information from a site like Swell Info, which gives wind predictions for surfers, may give you additional and valuable predictions that are closer to your route if you expect to stay fairly close to shore on your journey.

Corp of Engineers

AIWW Condition Survey

The Corp of Engineers is responsible for the Intracoastal Waterway.  Depth charts, like those available for the Charleston harbor, typically are not available for the IWC.  However, the Corp of Engineers completes routine surveys of the waterway and provide their findings in maps with graphical illustrations of water depths via color coding.
